Of course we believe the app is brilliant, but the question is who you should really believe: us or the runners?

I discovered the app through my co-triathletes who had been training with Trenara for some time. Word of mouth works best! On Monday we now complete our Trenara interval sessions together, and we ‘sync’ our training plans to the one who has a race ahead.
What do I love about the app? That it pushes you to move on. To be honest: I’m quite prone to quitting when it gets too heavy. The app lets me dig (much) deeper because somehow it knows you can do it. The great thing about this is that you make progress fast! I’ve become such a big fan in the meantime that I think that if I received a commission per new lead, I could already subscribe for a year for free 😄
As a fan, you also have to dare to look critically at the app. I experienced you can’t use it as a “holy bible”. I got my PR on the 10km thanks to the app and then decided to train for my first marathon with the paid version (mainly to be able to move the days, but certainly to also get some guidelines/grip/structure).
In the hardest weeks of training, however, I became (over-)tired (combined with stress at work) but continued to train and got hurt/overloaded. I was then able to let go of the compulsive idea you have to complete every session according to plan and with some rest I was back on my feet very fast. But I learned that sometimes it is more important to listen to your body than to the app! They now added RPE support which truly is a game changer!
Even though Trenara is a personal/individual coach, it also unites us: who has which long run planned this week? Who runs along or together, who wants to pace someone at intervals?
Training smarter in combination with a enthousiastic group, leads to success. For myself I broke PB’s on 5K & 10K thanks to Trenara.
And the best part is: I underestimated myself during the preparation for my first marathon. Where Trenara initially seemed to overestimate me, I was (fortunately) allowed to agree with them. I am so glad I discovered the app! And I’ll continue to use the app, because it keeps you on your toes.
As I mentioned, I’m a subscriber because it makes it easier to move shift days and adjust your plan based on fitness calibrations. It would also be great if they could offer triathlon plan, personally I think there is a big market here – surely this is a hint, no?
